 After becoming the equivalent of a category-five hurricane on Sunday, Mocha began to impact the shores of Bangladesh and Myanmar.

The meteorological office reported that "extremely severe" cyclonic storm Mocha has begun the process of making landfall on the beaches of Bangladesh and Myanmar. According to the report, the greatest sustained wind speed will be 180–190 kmph with gusts up to 210 kmph.


The strong storm touched down on the Teknaf shorelines soon after noon before passing over the Naf River, which separates Bangladesh from Myanmar.
